SOME ISSUES OF THE COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF PEJORATIVE PHRASEOLOGICAL UNITS OF THE RUSSIAN AND AVAR LANGUAGES

Abstract. This article deals with the peculiarities of the functioning of the category of pejorativity in the Avar language in comparison with the Russian language. The contrast-comparative analysis of the examples of the use of pejoratives in the Avar and Russian languages is conducted, the negative-evaluative connotation of which is aimed at violating social and moral norms by a human being. The main content of the research is the differentiation of discrepancies in the connotation of the same phenomenon, typical of the phraseological units of the most different languages both in structure and typology. In the article differences in the methods of verbalization of the same phenomena and actions by means of both languages are revealed. The attempt to assess and state the views on the process of the transition of negative connotation to the negative-evaluative one is defined as a research task by the authors.
