STRUCTURAL-SEMANTIC ARRANGEMENT OF WORD FORMATIVE CLUSTERS WITH THE TOPS СУХОЙ / DRY: COMPARATIVE ASPECT

Abstract. The article is devoted to analysing the derivational-semantic arrangement of the word formative clusters of the adjectives сухой / dry in the Russian and English languages. A word formative cluster comes out as a means for storing and processing information associated with human nominative cognitive activity. The conducted research has allowed the author to reveal different motivation features in the nomination of identical conceptions in the Russian and English languages. The comparative analysis has indicated different intensity of word formative processes in the two languages, which is determined by intra-lingual peculiarities.
