NATIONAL-CULTURAL ORIGINALITY OF METAPHORIC MODELS OF WEATHER PHENOMENA FIGURATIVE REPRESENTATION IN THE RUSSIAN LANGUAGE IN COMPARISON WITH THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE

Abstract. The article is devoted to the description of the metaphoric models of the Russian language, which have become a basis of the figurative nominations of various phenomena and objects of reality through the figurative transformation of weather phenomena. The key metaphoric models of the Russian language are considered in comparison with the English language. The main focus of the authors is on the specificity and universality of the figurative world modelling in the Russian linguoculture. The obtained results reflect the originality of weather phenomena perception by the Russian language speakers in the context of their metaphoric world-modelling function.
