PUBLIC OPINION IN THE CONTEXT OF DEMOCRATIC PROCESSES IN RUSSIA

Abstract. The author considers the problem of the interaction of public opinion and higher echelons of power, analyzes the situation determined by democratic context and covers such questions as public opinion role and taking it into account while choosing the strategy of the reforms conducted in Russia and the correlation of the democratic processes in the newest Russia and the perception of democratic values by the Russian mass consciousness.
