MULTICULTURALISM AS DISCRETE SUPER-SOCIETY CREATION STRATEGY IN THE CONTEXT OF POSTMODERN CULTURE: THEORY AND PRACTICE

Abstract. The author considers the policy of multiculturalism as the explication of postmodern values system in social-cultural and ethno-confessional space, analyzes the cultural genealogy and philosophical foundations of multiculturalism policy, meanwhile constructs the resultant theoretical model of universal multicultural super-society basing on postmodern value matrix, considers the practical implementation of this model in the space of European culture in the second half of the XXth - the beginning of the XXIst century, reveals the hazards and risks of multiculturalism policy implemented in the discourse of modern culture, and in conclusion ascertains the correlation between the collapse/crisis of multiculturalism and culture crisis condition in whole.
