TACTICAL COMPONENTS OF HANNIBAL'S VICTORIES

Abstract. The author reveals the tactical techniques that conditioned the victories of the Carthaginian commander Hannibal in the Punic War II, pays special attention to the tactical maneuvers that let Hannibal to conduct the military campaign in Rome successfully, considers the tactical genius of Barkida by the example of major battles, and at the same time comes to some conclusions about the strategic decisions of Carthaginian commander.
