CLASSICISM TRADITIONS IN IMAGE OF STOCKADED TOWNS SQUARES ENSEMBLES IN SIBERIA (THE END OF THE XVIII TH – THE XIX TH CENTURY)

Abstract. The author analyzes the role of classicism traditions in the composition structure of stockaded towns squares architectural ensembles in Eastern Siberia (the last third of the XVIII th - the last third of the XIX th century), comes to the conclusions that the characteristic features of classicism are the logicality of planning, the regularity, rationality and accuracy of the rectangular-parallel system of quarters, streets and squares; and reveals the dependence of the urban structure built into the plans of Irkutsk and Krasnoyarsk on the features of central squares solution.
