SPECIFICITY OF WEDDING CEREMONIALISM REALIZATION IN CHORAL CYCLE "FIVE RUSSIAN FOLK WEDDING SONGS" BY V. KALISTRATOV

Abstract. The article is devoted to the choral work "Five Russian Folk Wedding Songs" by the outstanding contemporary composer Valery Kalistratov, for whom the Russian folklore became a kind of creative source and inspirer. This opus was composed at the instance of B. Tevlin, a friend and teacher of V. Kalistratov. Analyzing the choral cycle the author undertakes an attempt to identify the characteristics of folk primary sources realization that got free interpretation in the composer’s music.
