REQUIREMENTS FOR VOLUME OF KNOWLEDGE IN THE RUSSIAN HISTORY AS INSTRUMENT FOR ASSESSING READINESS OF FOREIGN CITIZENS TO INTEGRATE INTO THE RUSSIAN SOCIETY

Abstract. The article examines the basic content of requirements for the volume of knowledge in the Russian history in the context of the conception of an integrated exam in the Russian language, history and the basic principles of the legislation of the Russian Federation, which will be introduced from January 1, 2015 for certain categories of foreign citizens arriving in our country; the paper determines principles for their development. The authors emphasize that the laconism of the content and intelligible presentation, addressing only the basic facts and events from the past of our country allow foreign citizens to adopt a course and undergo testing at the integrated exam. The article justifies the importance of teaching a course of the Russian history to foreign citizens as one of the basic means for their adaptation to the modern sociocultural conditions of the Russian Federation.
