THE YAKUT MERCHANT G. V. NIKIFOROV’S ROLE IN "MONOPOLISTIC UNION" FORMATION IN FUR TRADE (NORTHEAST SIBERIA AT THE BEGINNING OF THE XX CENTURY)

Abstract. In the article the author revealed that G. V. Nikiforov was engaged in the delivery of the large lots of the valuable sorts of furs from the northern trade districts of the Yakut region, issued credits to small and average buyers-up, took part in the territory population wholesale procurement with goods. It is determined that the entrepreneurs’ association acquired the system of furs buy-up organization through G. V. Nikiforov’s assistants and trustees. The author came to the conclusion that the union of several firms took up a monopolistic position in the sphere of wholesale fur trade.
