PROBLEM OF PROSTITUTION IN SOCIALIST DISCOURSE OF THE XX CENTURY: THE SPANISH ANARCHISTS AND SIMONE DE BEAUVOIR

Abstract. The article is devoted to investigating the phenomenon of prostitution in the interpretation of the socialist theories and practices of the XX century. The paper aims to reveal the dynamics of understanding this phenomenon from socio-philosophical, historical and sociological viewpoints. The basic task of the article is to identify how the approach of socialist theory to prostitution deepened, how the interpretation of the component of power in the phenomenon of prostitution developed and which processes became available for the socialist analysis of this phenomenon by the end of the century.
