ELITE, PROFESSIONAL AND NATIONAL SOCIETIES OF THE TOWNS OF DAGESTAN REGION (THE END OF THE XIX - THE BEGINNING OF THE XX CENTURY)

Abstract. The article is devoted to a few elite, professional and national societies, which were opened in the towns of Dagestan region at the end of the XIX - the beginning of the XX century. The author reveals the types of the activity, the purpose of these organizations, the methods of the formation of their own budget, and identifies the names of the people, who joined the management of the societies. The role of the national societies in the assistance of their needy compatriots is shown. It is noted that such organizations contributed to the Europeanization of the towns in the region.
