RESEARCH OF RELIGIOUS DISCOURSES: DISCOURSE OF CALVINISM IN MODERN PROTESTANTISM

Abstract. The first part of the article considers a modern approach to the research of religious discourses in Russian linguistics and religious studies expressed in works of such domestic researchers as E. V. Bobyrev, V. Karasik, E. A. Kozhemyakin, A. M. Prilutsky, A. K. Pogasy, Yu. S. Stepanov, and K. V. Chumakov. A. M. Prilutsky in his research identifies a number of components of the religious discourse. In the second part of the paper the author analyzes these components in relation to the religious discourse of Calvinism paying special attention to such aspects as attitude to sacraments, public worship, sermon, and literary works of the Calvinist tradition.
