ANALYSIS AND COMPARISON OF VIEWS ON SCIENCE NATURE IN MODERN PHILOSOPHY OF SCIENCE

Kolomiitsev Sergei Yur'evich
Saint Petersburg State University of Aerospace Instrumentation

Abstract. The article examines the basic views on the nature of science that are popular and relevant at the moment: scientific realism, conventionalism, instrumentalism, constructivism. For each conception the author provides a description, substantiation, explanation and criticism. It is concluded that modern science is far from understanding science as an activity aimed at obtaining true knowledge about objective reality, but there is a tendency to understand scientific knowledge as substantiated, but not fully consistent with absolute reality.
Key words and phrases: философия науки, эпистемология, научный реализм, конвенционализм, инструментализм, конструктивизм, объективная реальность, philosophy of science, epistemology, scientific realism, conventionalism, instrumentalism, constructivism, objective reality
