ON THE ISSUE OF FORMATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE RUSSIAN REALISTIC PAINTING SCHOOL

Abstract. The subject of the analysis in this article is realism in art as an attempt of the painters to present the subject truthfully, without artificiality, with the avoidance of the influence of political ideology, implausible, exotic and supernatural elements. It is proved that realism is widespread in art in different periods, to a large extent it is a question of the technique and training of painters. But representatives of the realistic school of painting avoid stylization. The article specifies that the transformations in the artistic-figurative structure of the Russian realistic school of painting are traced by researches from the end of the XIX - the beginning of the XXI century.
