DRAMA OF RAILWAY INTELLECTUALS OF A. V. KOLCHAK’S WHITE RUSSIA. 1918-1920

Abstract. The article traces the destiny of railway intellectuals, who in the years of the Civil War preserved loyalty to the White Movement and A. V. Kolchak personally. The author identifies objective and subjective factors that influenced the choice of railway specialists and managers. Having analyzed the documents concerning the move of Kolchak’s government from Omsk to Irkutsk and representing numerous attempts to reform this government’s Ministry of Railways the researcher concludes on the tragic destiny of railway intellectuals, who preserved loyalty to A. V. Kolchak’s White Russia.
