RELIGIOUS BEHAVIOUR AND CONFESSIONAL PREFERENCES OF UFA MUSLIMS (BY THE MATERIALS OF A PILOT SURVEY)

Abstract. The article analyzes the results of empirical studies on religious behaviour of the parishioners of three mosques of Ufa city of the Republic of Bashkortostan. The study is based on the results of the pilot survey, which are presented in comparison with the data of some all-Russian surveys on the population’s religiousness. The respondents form the nucleus of Muslim communities, which strictly observe religious traditions in their everyday life. Along with the high level of religious behaviour the parishioners-respondents are distinguished by the high level of education.
