THE TEXT IN THE FOCUS OF FOREIGN LANGUAGE EDUCATION

Abstract. The article discusses the need for the use of the scientific text and the English-language text in the process of training masters possessing national variants of the English language to implement the communicative, pedagogical and research activity. In the process of training students of Master’s programme special attention is paid to inauthentic English-language texts reflecting the specific characteristics of national variants of the English language to the greatest extent. The use of scientific texts in the learning process contributes to the expansion of students’ erudition, development of theoretical and practical types of thinking. The works of foreign literature are aimed to develop value goals of students’ personality, as well as the actualization of intellectual potential of learners.
