LANGUAGE SITUATION AT MARTINIQUE

Abstract.
In the article the language situation dynamics at Martinique and its characteristic at the modern stage are shown. Languages functioning in communication spheres regulated by the state and in interpersonal communication – among family members, in everyday life, etc. – is analyzed. Special attention is paid to the Martinican Creole language functioning and the reasons of its limited use in all communicative spheres.
