Abstract. The article shows the possibilities of using new information technologies for teaching process in technical institutes of higher education. The author tells about her own wide experience of teaching special disciplines and pays particular attention to the activization of students’ self-guided work for improving teaching quality and students’ interest in getting grounded knowledge while studying. The involvement of students into making films-presentations and special disciplines glossaries absolutely changes their attitude towards studies. Thus students take upon responsibility that makes them strive for deeper studying discipline modules.
