Abstract.
The article discusses the problems of organizing the system of losses settlement in insurance companies at the moment. The factors affecting the quality of losses settlement are evaluated, and also the analysis of the process of losses settlement is conducted with the use of IDEF0 model. On the basis of the executed study the author suggests recommendations on the choice of the optimal model of organizing the service of losses settlement for different types of insurance companies (from the point of view of the number of insurance types realized): large, medium and small.
