Abstract. The principles of time management and the formulation of goals on the basis of SMART system are widely used in all spheres of life. This methodology was applied in practical training cycle at the Department of Faculty Therapy of the Medical Faculty of Saratov State Medical University named after V. I. Razumovsky. Using the principles of time management in training the 4 th-year students revealed the problematic positions of the educational process with the possible prospect of the solution of a number of pedagogical issues.
