PECULIARITIES OF TRANSLATION OF H. FIELDING’S NOVEL “BRIDGET JONES. MAD ABOUT THE BOY” INTO THE RUSSIAN LANGUAGE

Abstract.
This article considers the problem of the translation of H. Fielding’s novel “Bridget Jones. Mad about the Boy”. The author analyzes the ways of the preservation of the work stylistic peculiarities, such as irony, humor, allusion and so on. It is shown that among the main techniques used in the translation one can highlight tracing, lexical deployment, addition, grammatical replacements, compensations.
