Abstract.
The article considers the features of the formation, establishment and development of Ossetian drama at the beginning of the XX century. The aim of this research is to study the identity of the creative work of Ossetian playwrights: R. Kochisova, D. Koroev, A. Tokayev. The authors for the first time emphasize the uniqueness of the method of critical realism, which played a major role in the formation of both Ossetian drama and Ossetian literature on the whole.
