Abstract.
The author considers a topical problem of searching for the sample of ideal education in the contemporary conditions of existence, for the solution of which philosophical thought refers to the ancient paradigm of values. The paper highlights the beneficial influence of the ideas of ancient philosophy on the content of education and training of society members, the formation of the personality corresponding to the challenges of the current century. The article also reveals the theoretical and practical significance of ancient Greek thinkers’ ideas for European and domestic education.
