TYPES OF TRANSLATION ERRORS (BY THE MATERIAL OF THE TRANSLATION OF THE NOVEL BY L. WEISBERGER “EVERYONE WORTH KNOWING”)

Abstract. The article examines the notion “translation error” by the material of the comparison of the original text and translation of the novel of the contemporary American writer L. Weisberger “Everyone Worth Knowing”. The author considers the main types and kinds of translation errors and by concrete examples shows the consequences of their appearance in the text, and also the result of incorrect translation from the viewpoint of influence on the reader.
