Abstract.
The social importance of ancient Egyptian expeditions for materials during the epoch of Ancient and Middle reigns is revealed in the article by the materials of the inscriptions of the IIIrd-XIIIth dynasties from mines and stone quarries outside Nile valley. The author shows the role of expedition activity in foreigners' integration to the Egyptian society of the mentioned period and in the formation of the special groups of ancient Egyptian population.
