Abstract.
The author reveals the ambiguity of the world community positions on such questions as death penalty, cloning and euthanasia. The problem of life and death worried mankind as far back as in ancient times. However it gets special urgency in connection with globalization and integration processes, scientific and technical progress, the formation of integrated informational space and also the change of the rate and way of life of a modern person.
