Abstract.
The author researches the notion of administrative competence, singles out the features of its manifestation at different levels of social interaction, suggests her own definition of the administrative competence of a state civil servant revealing through the notions ability and readiness and substantiates the system of the administrative competences of a state civil servant which reflects the set of the necessary abilities allowing effectively acting in typical administrative situations.
