CONTRACT OF TRUTH AND OTHER MODERN HISTORIAN'S COMMITMENTS IN THE LIGHT OF PAUL RICOEUR'S RESEARCHES

Abstract. The author considers the problems of the historical epistemology of Paul Ricoeur (1913-2005) - the modern historical knowledge theorist, whose works had decisive influence on modern western historiography development and shows the dialectics of historical objectivity and a historian's personal subjectivity, the problems of historical science and historical memory interaction, basing on Paul Ricoeur's works.
