Abstract.
The author for the first time considers the dispersion and standard deviation values of nominal wages in 1908 for all sorts of industrial establishments with the purpose of the study of wages differentiation in the factory-and-works industry of European Russia, on this basis confirms the conclusion about the extremely weak tendency of manpower prices leveling and undeveloped and forming labour market, and shows that the study results allow not only revealing deeper the historical problem under consideration, but also creating the methodology for wages differentiation study in the modern Russian economy.
