Abstract.
The author analyzes the problems of understanding the contemporary German researcher Aleida Assmann's collective memory theory, critically reveals the theses about three dimensions of human memory (neural, social, cultural), problematizes the correlation between the notions of political culture and ideology, and reveals the notion of historical memory culture.
