SOLITUDE PHENOMENON: EXISTENTIAL ASPECT

Abstract.
The author discusses the problem of solitude that is important in philosophical and practical aspects, reveals the existential nature of this phenomenon, claims that solitude is the elementary requirement and necessity of human existence, and it grows out of the ontological separation of a man from his world, moreover it is a peculiar counterpoint of community necessary for human existence, and undertakes the attempt to overcome the sociological interpretations of solitude, where it is given as a result of the deficiency of social relations.
