Abstract.
The author discusses such genre of historical research as intellectual biography, in practice (in relation to the personality of eminent German scientist Karl Jaspers) considers the basic methods used in the process of writing intellectual biography, determines the range of the research problems specific to this direction, explains their specificity, and pays particular attention to interdisciplinarity as a fundamental condition for successful scientific research in this direction of intellectual history.
