Abstract.
The pattern of creating the first state museum structure in the People’s Republic of Tuva is characterized basing on historical data. The role of grant aid from soviet scientific institutions and museums in Tuva museum fund acquisition is substantiated. Special attention is paid to the first museum director V. P. Ermolaev, under whose leadership the museum took its first steps as a cultural and educational institution.
