THE MODERN RUSSIAN TEACHERS IN THE FIELD OF SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT PROBLEMS

Abstract.
In the article the results of the qualitative social research of the modern Russian regional teachers’ problems are presented. The main research methodology is P. Bourdieu’s social field theory, which allows connecting structural changes in educational field with changes in teachers’ ideas about these transformations and their consequences and with the assessments of economic, social and other factors influencing the prestige decline of “teacher” profession and the processes of disintellectualization and demoralization in teachers’ environment.
