Abstract.
In the article the author considers M. P. Mussorgsky’s opera “Boris Godunov” from the perspective of children’s images embodiment. Childhood modus in the opera is presented in a multifaceted manner - in the image of the beyond-stage character of tsarevich Dimitri, in the description of certain characters (Boris’s children, boys around the Holy Fool, children’s features are present in the images of Varlaam and the Holy Fool) including mass personages (people’s scenes). The consideration of the opera in the light of children’s images allows revealing new facets in the opera masterpiece.
