THEOLOGICAL ASPECT OF “WOMEN’S STUDIES”

Abstract.
The article reveals the conception of “women’s studies”, investigates the history and development of this phenomenon. The author accentuates the research of religion in “women’s studies” and pays special attention to the analysis of topical issues, in particular, the possibility for women’s participation in social, including religious, life equally with men. The paper touches on the problems of women’s status in the Abrahamic religions.
