Abstract.
The article analyzes the formation of big business in the United States of America at the end of the XIX century, its relations with the USA Congress, and also the attitude to the problem of monopolism of the representatives of two basic American political parties. The paper focuses on the Interstate Commerce Act of 1887 and its significance and also on the adoption of Sherman Antitrust Act of 1890, which is the foundation of the American antimonopoly law.
