GNOSEOLOGICAL MEANING OF DANCING

Abstract.
The article examines the gnoseological meaning of dancing through the category “prolepsis”, which in ancient philosophy is associated with acquiring “premised knowledge”. The comparison of game and dance in ontological aspect also indicates that dance, creating a certain mood, approaches the state of a cognizer. This context allows relating the issues of the philosophy of dance to the problems of cognitive process in modern culture.
