RECORDINGS OF THE TATAR POET GABDULLA TUQAY’S WORKS ON GRAMOPHONE RECORDS OF THE BEGINNING OF THE XX CENTURY

Abstract.
This article considers the poorly studied aspect of the creative heritage of the classic of the Tatar poetry Gabdulla Tuqay, recorded on gramophone records and performed by the poet’s contemporaries. The author analyzes gramophone repertoire of the Tatar singers - popular singers and actors of the beginning of the XX century. For the first time the author introduces into scientific use gramophone records with G. Tuqay’s works, found in various funds and private collections in Russia and abroad. The author of the article, being a professional singer, uses gramophone records to reconstruct the songs for verses written by G. Tuqay.
