Abstract.
The article deals with the architectural formation of tourist complexes on the transboundary territory of the Greater Altai in the context of the strategy of intercultural communication. The analysis of modern practice of tourist objects construction is given. The authors present the results of a questionnaire survey of tourists. The tendencies of the architectural organization of tourist complexes are fixed. The method of contextual design is recommended for a consistent entry into the aesthetics of the most valuable natural landscapes and for the purpose of saving the cultural heritage.
