GLOBAL SOCIETY AND LOCAL COMMUNITIES IN THE MIRROR OF SECURITY THEORY

Abstract.
The article considers the modern theory of security in the context of the confrontation between two tendencies in comprehending the ideal of the future society - the ideal of a global society tending to legitimize and substantiate theoretically supranational political structures that monitor the realization of human rights throughout the world, and the ideal of reviving local communities as primary security subjects. The author shows the difference between organic local communities having an ontological basis and new, often extraterritorial artificial groups that only give the appearance of unity, being virtual communities in many ways.
