THE IDEAS OF DETERMINISM AND INDETERMINISM IN LANGUAGE SYSTEM RESEARCH

Abstract.
The author studies the ideas of determinism and indeterminism in language system research, and reveals the role of deterministic and indeterministic processes in the nonlinear development of language and their correlation with the categories of causality (regular occurrence) and causality (randomness). The ideas of nonlinear development and instability of system allow seeing in a new light the language as the phenomenon of human activity. Interaction between determinism and indeterminism in the language determines the main line of language development, but does not predetermine it.
