Abstract.
The author reveals the circle of the Russian borrowings in the Persian language by the material of monolingual and etymological dictionaries of the Russian and Persian languages, analyzes the processes of formation and stabilization of their phonetic status, and ascertains the general laws of the Russian words phonetic adaptation conditioned by different phonetic structures of source language and borrowing language.
