Abstract. The article is devoted to the analysis of the phraseological units with the component "ears" in the aspect of their representation in the German, Russian and Byelorussian languages. In modern linguistics the interest for this problem is intensified owing to the actualization of the anthropocentric paradigm in humanities research. The phraseological units with the component "ears" in the German, Russian, Byelorussian linguistic cultures reflect the characteristics of the mentality and traditions peculiar to the representatives of these cultures, therefore it is important to reveal the linguistic manifestations of these characteristics.
