Abstract.
The article is devoted to the little-studied aspect of sociocultural competence - the subject matter of training texts in a foreign language. The topicality of this problem is explained by the interest in anthropocentric research in the sphere of linguodidactics. Different bases for the classification of the subject matter of training texts are considered.
