SPECIFICS OF TRANSLATING GERMAN VERBS WITH DEICTIC PREFIXES INTO THE RUSSIAN LANGUAGE

Abstract.
The article is devoted to the problem of translating culture-specific vocabulary the striking example of which are the German verbs with deictic prefixes without analogues in the Russian language. They are special means for representing spatial deixis subject of which changes depending on communicative situation and create additional difficulties to the translator when choosing equivalent. Often translator relies only on the general context and reader’s communicative experience, therefore some of the information introduced by the author in the original turns out to be lost in the translated text.
