FEATURES OF LANGUAGE GAME IN ANECDOTES IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE

Abstract. The article is devoted to the language game by the material of the English language. The author studies the features of language game with semantic mechanism that according to the thesis of semiotics about the relations of a sign suggests the pun of the specificity of relations between the sign, the material carrier of a sign (object) and the notion of the subject matter. The cases of using paronymy, homonymy, polysemy, synonymy, antonymy, and also tropes for the creation of a language game are considered. The nature of the influence of the English language system features on the specificity of the creation of language game on a semantic basis is studied.
