Abstract.
In the article the author considers the ways of realization of the additive (additional) meaning of phraseological units which are formed on the basis of the speech situation involving one or more communicants. Additional meaning as a variant of the phraseological unit semantization has no significant influence on the common denotation of the unit, but sometimes can replace it, thereby transferring the main idea of the phraseological unit already within the context.
